यः सुपर्णा यजुर्नामच्छन्दोगात्रस्त्रिवृच्छिरा: । रथन्तरं बृहत्‌ साम तस्मै स्तोत्रात्मने नमः,जो “यजु:” नाम धारण करनेवाले वेदरूपी पुरुष हैं, गायत्री आदि छन्‍्द जिनके हाथ-पैर आदि अवयव हैं, यज्ञ ही जिनका मस्तक है तथा “रथन्तर' और “बृहत” नामक साम ही जिनकी सान्त्वनाभरी वाणी है, उन स्तोत्ररूपी भगवानको प्रणाम है

Transliteration

yaḥ suparṇā yajur-nāma chando-gātras tri-vṛc-chirāḥ | rathantaraṁ bṛhat sāma tasmai stotrātmane namaḥ ||

Translation

જે ‘યજુઃ’ નામ ધારણ કરનાર સુપર્ણસ્વરૂપ છે, જેમનાં અંગો ગાયત્રી આદિ છંદ છે, જેમનું મસ્તક ત્રિવૃત્ (ત્રિવિધ પવિત્ર ઉચ્ચાર) છે, અને જેમની શાંતિવાળી વાણી ‘રથંતર’ તથા ‘બૃહત્’ નામક સામ છે—તે સ્તોત્રાત્મા પ્રભુને પ્રણામ.
