धृतराष्ट्र-सेवा, राज्य-कार्य-विभागः

Service to Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Allocation of State Duties

द्विजानां देवकार्येषु का्येष्वन्येषु चैव ह । धौम्यं पुरोधसां श्रेष्ठ नित्यमेव समादिशत्‌,ब्राह्मणों और देवताओंसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाले कार्योंपर तथा अन्यान्य ब्राह्मणोचित कर्तव्योंपर सदाके लिये पुरोहितोंमें श्रेष्ठ धौम्यजीकी नियुक्ति की गयी

Vaiśampāyana uvāca |

Dvijānāṃ devakāryeṣu kāryeṣv anyeṣu caiva ha |

Dhaumyaṃ purodhasāṃ śreṣṭhaṃ nityam eva samādiśat ||

દ્વિજોના દેવકાર્યોમાં તથા અન્ય બ્રાહ્મણોચિત કાર્યોમાં પુરોહિતોમાં શ્રેષ્ઠ ધૌમ્યને તેમણે સદૈવ નિયુક્ત કર્યો.
