सम्प्राप्तस्यैव चाव्यग्रमावेद्योडहमिहागत: । ममाभिगमन प्राप्तो वाच्यक्ष वचन त्वया
samprāptasyaiva cāvyagram āvedyodham ihāgataḥ | mamābhigamana-prāpto vācyakṣa vacanaṃ tvayā || tataḥ sa vipras tāṃ nāgīṃ samādhāya punaḥ punaḥ | tadeva pulinaṃ nadyāḥ prayayau brāhmaṇarṣabhaḥ ||
બ્રાહ્મણે કહ્યું—“હું વ્યાકુળતા વિના અહીં આવ્યો છું અને જે રીતે વાત છે તે રીતે જ નિવેદન કર્યું છે. તું મને મળવા આવ્યો છે, તેથી મારી તરફથી આ સંદેશ તારે જ કહેવાનો છે.” પછી તે શ્રેષ્ઠ બ્રાહ્મણ તે નાગસ્ત્રીને વારંવાર સમજાવી સ્થિર કરીને, ફરી એ જ નદીના રેતાળ પુલિન તરફ નીકળી ગયો અને નદીના કાંઠે રેતી પર ચાલતો આગળ વધ્યો.
