अथ चिन्तयतस्तस्य कर्णाभ्यां पुरुष: स्मृत: । प्रजासर्गकरो ब्रह्मा तमुवाच जगत्पति:
atha cintayatastasya karṇābhyāṃ puruṣaḥ smṛtaḥ | prajāsargakaro brahmā tamuvāca jagatpatiḥ ||
તે ચિંતનમાં લીન હતા ત્યારે જાણે તેમના બંને કાનમાંથી સ્મૃતિરૂપે એક પુરુષ પ્રગટ થયો. તે પ્રજાસર્જન કરનાર બ્રહ્મા હતો; ત્યારે જગત્પતિએ તેને કહ્યું.
