धर्मद्वारबहुत्वविमर्शः — Reflection on the Many ‘Doors’ of Dharma (Śānti-parva 342)
अद्न: क्षये ललाटाच्च सुतो देवस्य वै तथा । क्रोधाविष्टस्य संजज्ञे रुद्र: संहारकारक:,ब्रह्माका दिन बीतनेपर क्रोधके आवेशमें आये हुए उस देवके ललाटसे उनके पुत्ररूपमें संहारकारी रुद्र प्रकट हुए
adnaḥ kṣaye lalāṭāc ca suto devasya vai tathā | krodhāviṣṭasya saṃjajñe rudraḥ saṃhārakārakaḥ ||
દિવસના અંતે, ક્રોધથી આવિષ્ટ તે દેવના લલાટમાંથી પુત્ર સમાન સંહારક રુદ્ર પ્રગટ થયા।
अर्जुन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical danger of krodha (anger): when anger overwhelms discernment, it generates destructive consequences. Even when framed as a divine event, it functions as a moral warning that wrath unrestrained by dharma leads to saṃhāra (ruin/dissolution).
Arjuna narrates that at the close of the day, a god—seized by anger—produced Rudra from his forehead, described as a son-like manifestation whose role is destruction (saṃhāra).
