कस्य वै को मतः कामो ब्रूत सत्य॑ द्विजोत्तमा: । तब राजा वसुने हाथ जोड़कर उन सबसे पूछा--'विप्रवरो! आपलोग सच-सच बताइये

kasya vai ko mataḥ kāmo brūta satyaṃ dvijottamāḥ |

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—“હે દ્વિજોત્તમો, સત્ય કહો—કોણનો કયો મત ઇષ્ટ છે?” ત્યારે રાજા વસુએ હાથ જોડીને પૂછ્યું—“વಿಪ્રવરો, સ્પષ્ટ કહો—‘અજ’નો અર્થ કોણ બકરો માને છે અને કોણ અન્ન, જેથી નિર્ણય નિષ્પક્ષ રહે.”
