अध्याय ३३७ — ज्ञानमार्ग-वैविध्यप्रश्नः तथा व्यासस्य नारायणोद्भवकथा

एकस्तु शब्दो वितत: श्रुतो5स्माभिरुदीरित:,'पंरतु एक शब्द जो उच्चस्वरसे उच्चारित होकर दूरतक फैल रहा था, हमने भी सुना। सब लोग कह रहे थे--:पुण्डरीकाक्ष! आपकी जय हो। विश्वभावन! आपको प्रणाम है। महापुरुषोंके भी पूर्वज हृषीकेश! आपको नमस्कार है”
ekas tu śabdo vitataḥ śruto 'smābhir udīritaḥ | puṇḍarīkākṣa! tava jayaḥ | viśvabhāvana! te praṇāmaḥ | mahāpuruṣāṇām api pūrvaja hṛṣīkeśa! te namaḥ ||
ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—“અમે એક જ શબ્દ સાંભળ્યો, જે ઊંચા સ્વરે ઉચ્ચારાઈ દૂર દૂર સુધી ફેલાતો હતો. બધા લોકો કહી રહ્યા હતા—‘પુંડરીકાક્ષ! તમારી જય હો. વિશ્વભાવન! તમને પ્રણામ. મહાપુરુષોના પણ પૂર્વજ હૃષીકેશ! તમને નમસ્કાર.’”
