अन्यामन्यां धनावस्थां प्राप्य वैशेषिकीं नसः । अतृप्ता यान्ति विध्वंसं संतोष यान्ति पण्डिता:

Transliteration

anyām anyāṁ dhanāvasthāṁ prāpya vaiśeṣikīṁ naraḥ | atṛptā yānti vidhvaṁsaṁ santoṣaṁ yānti paṇḍitāḥ ||

Translation

મનુષ્યો ધનનો સંગ્રહ કરતાં કરતાં પહેલાં કરતાં પણ ઊંચી અને વિશેષ ધનસમૃદ્ધ સ્થિતિ પ્રાપ્ત કરીને પણ તૃપ્ત થતા નથી; વધુની લાલસા લઈને જ તેઓ વિનાશ તરફ જાય છે. પરંતુ પંડિતો સંતોષ પ્રાપ્ત કરે છે—ધનની તૃષ્ણામાં પડતા નથી.
