इदं निदर्शनं मया तवेह पुत्र साम्प्रतम् स्वदर्शनानुमानत: प्रवर्णितं कुरुष्व तत्,बेटा! मैंने अपने शास्त्रज्ञान और अनुमानके द्वारा इस समय तुम्हें जिस ज्ञानका उपदेश किया है, तुम उसीके अनुसार आचरण करो
idam nidarśanaṃ mayā taveha putra sāmpratam svadarśanānumānataḥ pravarṇitaṃ kuruṣva tat
વ્યાસે કહ્યું—પુત્ર! મારા શાસ્ત્રજ્ઞાન અને યુક્તિઆધારિત અનુમાનથી મેં અત્યારે અહીં તને આ દૃષ્ટાંતરૂપ ઉપદેશ વર્ણવ્યો છે; તું એ મુજબ આચરણ કર.
