शुकस्य योगसिद्धिः (Śuka’s Yogic Attainment and Ascent)
एवमुक्त: स वैदेहं प्रत्युवाचापरोक्षवित् । निवृत्तिर्न तयोरस्ति नानिवृत्ति: कथठ्चन
evam uktaḥ sa vaidehaṁ pratyuvāca aparokṣavit | nivṛttir na tayor asti nānivṛttiḥ kathaṁcana ||
આ રીતે પૂછવામાં આવતાં અપરોક્ષ જ્ઞાનસંપન્ન મહર્ષિ પંચશિખે વિદેહરાજને ઉત્તર આપ્યો—“જરા અને મૃત્યુની સંપૂર્ણ નિવૃત્તિ નથી; પરંતુ એવું પણ નથી કે કોઈ રીતે તેમની નિવૃત્તિ શક્ય જ નથી. ધન-ઐશ્વર્યથી તેઓ ટળતા નથી; પરંતુ જ્ઞાનથી પુનર્જન્મનો ચક્ર જ નિવૃત્ત થઈ જાય છે—પછી જરા અને મૃત્યુની તો શું વાત!”
