अव्यक्त-गुण-पुरुषविवेकः | Avyakta, Guṇas, and Discrimination of Puruṣa

तिर्यग्योनिसहस्रेषु कदाचिद्‌ देवतास्वपि । अभिमन्यत्यभीमानात्‌ तथैव सुकृतान्यपि

tiryagyonisahasreṣu kadācid devatāsv api | abhimanyaty abhīmānāt tathaiva sukṛtāny api ||

વસિષ્ઠે કહ્યું—અભિમાનથી ઉપજેલા મોહમાં તે ક્યારેક પોતાને હજારો તિર્યગ્યોનિઓમાં જન્મેલો જીવ માને છે અને ક્યારેક દેવત્વનો ગર્વ ધારણ કરે છે; અને એ જ અહંકારના કારણે તે તે દેહોથી કરેલા સુકૃત કર્મોના ફળને પણ ભોગવે છે.
