Śānti-parva Adhyāya 30: Nārada–Parvata Samaya-bhaṅga, Śāpa, and the Marriage of Sukumārī
तावुभौ तपसोपेताववनीतलचारिणौ । भुज्जानौ मानुषान् भोगान् यथावत् पर्यधावताम्,वे दोनों तपस्वी पृथ्वीतलपर विचरते और मानवीय भोगोंका उपभोग करते हुए यहाँ यथावत््रूपसे परिभ्रमण करने लगे
tāv ubhau tapasopetāv avanītala-cāriṇau | bhuñjānau mānuṣān bhogān yathāvat paryadhāvatām ||
તપથી યુક્ત તે બંને પૃથ્વીતળ પર વિચરતા; અને માનવીય ભોગો ભોગવતા હોવા છતાં યથોચિત મર્યાદા રાખીને સર્વત્ર પરિભ્રમણ કરવા લાગ્યા.
