अभिगम्य च तत्‌ तुष्ट्या दत्तमाहुरभिष्ठतम्‌ । याचितेन तु यद्‌ दत्तं तदाहुर्मध्यमं बुधा:

Transliteration

abhigamya ca tat tuṣṭyā dattam āhur abhiṣṭatam | yācitena tu yad dattaṃ tad āhur madhyamaṃ budhāḥ ||

Translation

પરાશરે કહ્યું—પોતે જઈને સંતોષપૂર્વક જે દાન આપવામાં આવે, તેને સર્વોત્તમ કહે છે; પરંતુ માગ્યા પછી જે આપવામાં આવે, તેને બુદ્ધિમાન લોકો મધ્યમ દાન કહે છે.
