उपसूष्टेषु दान्तेषु दुराचारेषु साधुषु । अविनीतेषु लुब्धेषु सुमहद् दण्डधारणम्
upasūṣṭeṣu dānteṣu durācāreṣu sādhuṣu | avinīteṣu lubdheṣu sumahad daṇḍadhāraṇam ||
નારદે કહ્યું—જ્યાં જિતેન્દ્રિયોને સતાવવામાં આવે, સાધુજન પર દુરાચાર થાય, અને અવિનીત તથા લોભી લોકોનો પ્રભાવ વધે—જ્યાં અત્યંત કઠોર દંડનો પ્રચાર હોય—એવા દેશમાં વિચાર વિના નિવાસ ન કરવો જોઈએ.
