न लोके दीप्यते मूर्ख: केवलात्मप्रशंसया । अपि चापिहित: श्वश्रे कृतविद्य: प्रकाशते
na loke dīpyate mūrkhaḥ kevalātmapraśaṃsayā | api cāpihitaḥ śvaśre kṛtavidyaḥ prakāśate ||
નારદે કહ્યું—આ લોકમાં મૂર્ખ માત્ર પોતાની પ્રશંસા કરીને સાચે તેજસ્વી થતો નથી. પરંતુ જેણે ખરેખર વિદ્યાનું સંપાદન કર્યું છે, તે સાસુએ ઢાંકી રાખ્યો હોય તેમ છુપાયેલો હોવા છતાં પોતાના ગુણથી જ પ્રગટ થાય છે.
