Livelihood, Virtuous Association, and Ethics of Giving
उमोवाच भगवन् सर्वभूतेषु प्रभावाभ्यधिको गुणै: । अजय्यश्नाप्यधृष्यश्न तेजसा यशसा श्रिया,उमाने कहा--भगवन्! आप समस्त प्राणियोंमें सबसे अधिक प्रभावशाली, गुणवान्, अजेय, अधृष्य, तेजस्वी, यशस्वी तथा श्रीसम्पन्न हैं। महाभाग! यज्ञमें जो इस प्रकार आपको भाग देनेका निषेध किया गया है, इससे मुझे बड़ा दुःख हुआ है। अनघ! इस अपमानसे मेरा सारा शरीर काँप रहा है
umovāca bhagavan sarvabhūteṣu prabhāvābhyadhiko guṇaiḥ | ajayyaś cāpy adhṛṣyaś ca tejasā yaśasā śriyā | mahābhāga! yajñe yaḥ khalu evaṃ tvayi bhāgadāna-niṣedhaḥ kṛtaḥ, tena me mahad duḥkham abhavat | anagha! asmin apamāne mama sarvaṃ śarīraṃ kampate |
ઉમાએ કહ્યું—ભગવન્! સર્વ ભૂતોમાં પ્રભાવ અને ગુણોથી તમે સર્વોત્કૃષ્ટ છો; તમે અજેય, અધૃષ્ય, તેજસ્વી, યશસ્વી અને શ્રીસમ્પન્ન છો.
