Yudhiṣṭhira’s Remorse and Vyāsa’s Teaching on Impermanence (Śoka-nivāraṇa)
मैवमित्यब्रवीद् व्यासो निगृहाय मुनिसत्तम: । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं-जनमेजय! अपने बन्धु-जनोंके शोकसे विह्बल होकर युधिष्ठिरको ऐसी बातें करते देख मुनिवर व्यासजीने उन्हें रोककर कहा--“नहीं, ऐसा नहीं हो सकता”
māivam ity abravīd vyāso nigṛhāya munisattamaḥ |
વૈશંપાયને કહ્યું— જનમેજય! પોતાના બંધુજનોના શોકથી વ્યાકુળ યુધિષ્ઠિરને આવી વાતો કરતા જોઈ, મુનિશ્રેષ્ઠ વ્યાસજીએ તેને અટકાવી કહ્યું—“ના; એવું થઈ શકે નહીં.”
