अथान्तरिक्षे वागासीत्‌ तां च शुश्राव जाजलि: । धर्मेण न समस्त्वं वै तुलाधारस्य जाजले

Transliteration

athāntarikṣe vāg āsīt tāṃ ca śuśrāva jājaliḥ | dharmeṇa na samas tvaṃ vai tulādhārasya jājale ||

Translation

ત્યારે આકાશમાં એક વાણી ઊઠી, અને જાજલિએ તે સાંભળી—“હે જાજલે! ધર્મમાં તું તુલાધાર સમાન નથી. કાશીમાં મહાજ્ઞાની વૈશ્ય તુલાધાર વસે છે; હે બ્રાહ્મણશ્રેષ્ઠ! તું જેવું બોલે છે, એવું તો તુલાધાર પણ બોલી ન શકે.”
