राजधर्मः—राष्ट्ररक्षणं, दण्डनीतिः, हयग्रीवोपाख्यानम्

नाभूतिकालेषु फलं ददन्ति शिल्पानि मन्त्राक्ष तथौषधानि । तान्येव कालेन समाहितानि सिद्धमन्ति वर्धन्ति च भूतिकाले
na bhūtikāleṣu phalaṁ dadanti śilpāni mantrākṣa tathauṣadhāni | tānyeva kālena samāhitāni siddhyanti vardhanti ca bhūtikāle ||
વ્યાસે કહ્યું— “અવનતિ અને દુર્ભાગ્યના સમયમાં શિલ્પકલા, મંત્રાક્ષર તથા ઔષધ પણ ફળ આપતાં નથી. એ જ સાધનો જ્યારે કાળ સાથે સુસંગત રીતે સમાહિત થઈ ઉપયોગમાં લેવાય, ત્યારે સમૃદ્ધિના સમયમાં સફળ થાય અને વૃદ્ધિ કરાવે છે.”
