Ātma-saṃyama-dharma: One-pointedness of Mind and Senses (शुक–व्यास संवादः)

विधूमे सन्नमुसले वानप्रस्थप्रतिश्रये । काले प्राप्ते चरन्‌ भैक्ष्यं कल्पते ब्रह्म भूयसे

vidhūme sannamusale vānaprasthapratiśraye | kāle prāpte caran bhaikṣyaṃ kalpate brahma bhūyase ||

વ્યાસે કહ્યું—યોગ્ય સમય આવે ત્યારે ભિક્ષાથી જીવન ચલાવતો સંન્યાસી ભિક્ષા માટે વાનપ્રસ્થના આશ્રમમાં ત્યારે જ જાય, જ્યારે રસોડામાં ધુમાડો ન હોય અને મूसળનો અવાજ પણ બંધ થઈ ગયો હોય. આ રીતે નિયમપૂર્વક જીવન વિતાવનાર ભિક્ષુક બ્રહ્મભાવ પ્રાપ્ત કરવા યોગ્ય બને છે.
