समरेषु च विक्रान्तं पर्याप्त॑ तन्निदर्शनम्‌ । पहले मैं जो पुरुषार्थ प्रकट कर चुका हूँ

Transliteration

samareṣu ca vikrāntaṃ paryāptaṃ tan-nidarśanam |

Translation

ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—યુદ્ધોમાં મારા પરાક્રમનો પુરાવો આપવા એક જ દૃષ્ટાંત પૂરતો છે. મેં અગાઉ જે પુરુષાર્થ પ્રગટ કર્યો છે તે તને જ સર્વाधिक જાણીતો છે. અનેક યુદ્ધોમાં તું વારંવાર મારું શૌર્ય જોઈ ચૂક્યો છે; તેથી આ સમયે એક જ ઉદાહરણ પૂરતું રહેશે.
