क्षमस्व नचिरादिन्द्र त्वामप्युपगमिष्यति । इन्द्र! मैं सदा सावधान रहता था
kṣamasva nacirād indra tvām apy upagamiṣyati |
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— હે ઇન્દ્ર! મને ક્ષમા કર; બહુ વિલંબ નહીં, કાળ તારા પર પણ આવી પડશે. હું સદા સાવધાન હતો, છતાં જો કદી આળસ ન કરનાર કાળે મારા પર આક્રમણ કર્યું, તો તે જ કાળ ટૂંક સમયમાં તારા પર પણ આક્રમણ કરશે. આ કડવું સત્ય કહ્યાના માટે મને ક્ષમા કર.
