अथ निश्चित्य मनसा शाल्मलिवातकारितम्
atha niścitya manasā śālmalivātakāritam
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—“પછી મનમાં દૃઢ નિશ્ચય કરીને તેણે શાલ્મલી વૃક્ષના પવનથી ઉપજેલી પ્રેરણાથી થયેલ કાર્ય હાથ ધર્યું—અર્થાત્ તે અચાનક, પ્રબળ આવેગે સૂચવેલો માર્ગ તેણે સ્વીકાર્યો।”
