Tapas as the Root of Attainment (तपः—साधनमूलप्रशंसा)
तथैव मृगजातीभिरन्याभिरभिशो भसे । तथा सर्वाधिवासैश्व शोभसे मेरुवद्द्रुम,“वृक्षप्रवर! इसी प्रकार दूसरी-दूसरी जातिके पशु भी तुम्हारी शोभा बढ़ा रहे हैं। तुम सबके निवास-स्थान होनेके कारण मेरुपर्वतके समान सुशोभित होते हो
tathaiva mṛgajātībhiḥ anyābhiḥ abhiśobhase | tathā sarvādhivāsaiś ca śobhase meruvad drumam ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—હે વૃક્ષપ્રવર! એ જ રીતે વિવિધ જાતિના મૃગો અને અન્ય વન્ય પ્રાણીઓ પણ તારી શોભા વધારે છે. અને સર્વના નિવાસસ્થાન હોવાથી તું મેરુ પર્વત સમાન તેજસ્વી દેખાય છે.
