शुभं कर्म परित्यज्य सो5हं शकुनिलुब्धक: । नृशंसस्य ममाद्यायं प्रत्यादेशो न संशय:
śubhaṃ karma parityajya so'haṃ śakunilubdhakaḥ | nṛśaṃsasya mamādyāyaṃ pratyādeśo na saṃśayaḥ ||
શુભ કર્મ ત્યજીને હું જુગારી અને પક્ષી-શિકારી સમાન બની ગયો છું. મારા જેવા નિર્દય માટે તેમાં શંકા નથી—આજે મારા જ કર્મોનું યોગ્ય પ્રતિદાન, મારા જ કૃત્યોનો પ્રતિઉત્તર મને પ્રાપ્ત થયો છે.
