न भुड्धक्ते मय्यभुक्ते या नास्नाते स्नाति सुव्रता । नातिष्ठत्युपतिछेत शेते च शयिते मयि
na bhuktānte mayy abhukte yā nāsnāte snāti suvratā | nātiṣṭhaty upatiṣṭhet śete ca śayite mayi ||
તે ઉત્તમ વ્રત પાળનારી પતિવ્રતા હતી; હું ન ખાઉં ત્યાં સુધી તે ખાતી નહીં, હું ન નાહું ત્યાં સુધી તે સ્નાન કરતી નહીં. મને બેસાડ્યા વિના તે બેસતી નહીં, અને હું સૂઈ જાઉં ત્યારે જ તે શયન કરતી.
