Draupadī’s Exhortation on Rājadharma and Daṇḍa (द्रौपद्याः राजधर्मोपदेशः)
द्रौपहुवाच इमे ते भ्रातर: पार्थ शुष्यन्ते स््तोकका इव । वावाश्यमानास्तिष्ठन्ति न चैनानभिनन्दसे,कुन्तीकुमार! आपके ये भाई आपका संकल्प सुनकर सूख गये हैं; पपीहोंके समान आपसे राज्य करनेकी रट लगा रहे हैं; फिर भी आप इनका अभिनन्दन नहीं करते? ।।
Draupadī uvāca: ime te bhrātaraḥ Pārtha śuṣyante stokakā iva | vāvāśyamānās tiṣṭhanti na cainān abhinandase, Kuntīkumarā ||
દ્રૌપદીએ કહ્યું—હે પાર્થ! તમારા આ ભાઈઓ નાનાં તળાવો સૂકાઈ જાય તેમ સૂકાઈ રહ્યા છે. પપીહાંની જેમ આર્તપણે રડતાં તમારા સામે ઊભા રહી તમને રાજ્ય સ્વીકારવા વિનવે છે; છતાં તમે તેમનું અભિનંદન પણ કરતા નથી, હે કુંતીપુત્ર!
