ब्रवीषि मधुरं यच्च प्रियो मे5द्य भवानिति
bravīṣi madhuraṁ yac ca priyo me ’dya bhavān iti |
ભીષ્મ બોલ્યા—“તમે જે મધુર વચન કહો છો—‘આજે તમે મને બહુ પ્રિય લાગો છો’—તેનું પણ કારણ છે, મિત્ર! તે બધું હું તમને વિસ્તારથી કહું છું; સાંભળો. માણસ કારણથી જ પ્રેમપાત્ર બને છે અને કારણથી જ દ્વેષપાત્ર બને છે।”
