आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)
अथ सम्प्रतिपत्तिज्ञ: प्राब्रवीद् दीर्घदर्शिनम् । प्राप्ते काले न मे किंचिन्न्यायत: परिहास्यते
atha sampratipattijñaḥ prābravīd dīrghadarśinam | prāpte kāle na me kiñcin nyāyataḥ parihāsyate ||
પછી યોગ્ય નિર્ણય જાણનારએ દૂરદર્શીને કહ્યું—“મિત્ર! યોગ્ય સમય આવે ત્યારે મારી બુદ્ધિ ન્યાય મુજબ યોગ્ય ઉપાય શોધવામાં કદી ચૂકતી નથી; ધર્મસંગત કંઈ પણ મારી નજરમાંથી છૂટતું નથી.”
