यदि गुह्ां न वो नित्य॑ तदा प्रब्रूत मा चिरम्‌ न गुहां श्रोतुमिच्छामि युष्मद्भ्यो द्विजसत्तमा:

Transliteration

yadi guhyaṁ na vo nityaṁ tadā prabrūta mā ciram | na guhyaṁ śrotum icchāmi yuṣmadbhyo dvijasattamāḥ ||

Translation

ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— “જો આ વાત તમારામાં સદા ગુપ્ત રહસ્યરૂપે રાખવાની ન હોય, તો વિલંબ કર્યા વિના કહો. હે દ્વિજશ્રેષ્ઠો! જે વાત ગુપ્ત રહસ્ય તરીકે રાખવી યોગ્ય હોય, તે હું તમારાથી સાંભળવા ઇચ્છતો નથી.”
