बभूवामर्षितो राजा वध॑ चास्य व्यरोचयत् । सियारकी यह चपलता सुनकर शेर गुस्सेसे भर गया। उससे यह बात सही नहीं गयी; अतः मृगराजने उसका वध करनेका ही विचार कर लिया
babhūvāmṛṣito rājā vadhaṃ cāsya vyarocayat |
શિયાળની આ ચપળતા સાંભળીને રાજા (મૃગરાજ) ક્રોધથી ભરાઈ ગયો; તે વાત તેને સહન ન થઈ, તેથી તેણે તેને વધ કરવાનો જ વિચાર કર્યો.
