Satya–Anṛta Viveka (Discrimination between Truth and Falsehood) | सत्य–अनृत विवेकः
यः पापैः सह सम्बन्धान्मुच्यते शपथादपि
yaḥ pāpaiḥ saha sambandhān mucyate śapathād api | yadi śapathaṃ khā lanese ’pi pāpiyoṃ ke hāth se chutkārā mil jāya to vaisā hī kare | yāṃtaka vaś cale, kisī tarah bhī pāpiyoṃ ke hāth meṃ dhana na jāne de; kyoṃki pāpācāriyoṃ ko diyā huā dhana dātā ko ’pi pīḍita kar detā hai ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—જો શપથ લઈને પણ પાપીઓ સાથેના ગૂંચવાયેલા સંબંધોથી મુક્તિ મળી શકે, તો તેમ જ કરવું જોઈએ. જેટલું બને તેટલો પ્રયત્ન કરીને કોઈ પણ રીતે ધન દુષ્ટોના હાથમાં ન જાય તે જોવું; કારણ કે પાપાચારીઓને આપેલું ધન દાતાને પણ પીડિત કરે છે.
