अशक्यमिति कृत्वा वा ततो<चन्यै: संविदं चरेत्‌ । ब्रह्मदण्डमदृष्टेषु दृष्टेषु चतुरद्धिणीम्‌

Transliteration

aśakyam iti kṛtvā vā tato 'nyaiḥ saṃvidaṃ caret | brahmadaṇḍam adṛṣṭeṣu dṛṣṭeṣu catur-aṅgiṇīm ||

Translation

જો કાર્ય એકલા કરવું અશક્ય ઠરે, તો પછી બીજાઓ સાથે વિચાર-વિમર્શ અને સંવિધાન (સમજૂતી) કરવી જોઈએ. જે શત્રુ દૂર હોવાથી દેખાતા ન હોય, તેમના પર બ્રહ્મદંડ—ધર્માધિકાર અને નીતિબળ—પ્રયોગ કરવો; અને જે શત્રુ નજીક હોવાથી દેખાય, તેમના પર ચતુરંગિણી સેના મોકલી આક્રમણ કરવું।
