मृदु-तीक्ष्ण-नीति तथा दुष्टलक्षण-विज्ञानम्
Measured Policy and the Recognition of Malicious Disposition
ओजकश्न जनयेदेव संगृह्नन् साधूसम्मतम् । अकाले साधयेम्मित्रं न च प्राप्ते प्रपीडयेत्
ojakāś ca janayed eva saṅgṛhṇan sādhū-sammatam | akāle sādhayen mitraṁ na ca prāpte prapīḍayet ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું—સાધુજનની સંમતિ અને સલાહ લઈને પોતાનું ઓજસ અને બળ સતત વધારતો રહે. અનુકૂળ અવસર ન આવે ત્યાં સુધી મિત્રોને સાધે, મિત્રોની સંખ્યા વધારે અને અકાળે શત્રુને પીડા ન આપે; પરંતુ યોગ્ય તક આવે ત્યારે શત્રુ પર પ્રહાર કરવામાં ચૂક ન કરે.
