शूरलक्षणवर्णनम् | Marks and Typologies of Martial Temperament
जिद्याक्षा: प्रललाटाश्व निर्मासहनवो5डपि च । वज़बाह्वंगुलीचक्रा: कृशा धमनिसंतता:
jidyākṣāḥ pralalāṭāśva-nirmāsa-hanavo 'lpāpi ca | vajra-bāhv-aṅgulī-cakrāḥ kṛśā dhamani-saṃtatāḥ ||
ભીષ્મે કહ્યું— જેમની આંખો તિરછી હોય, લલાટ ઊંચું હોય અને જડબાં કૃશ તથા જાણે માંસવિહોણાં હોય; જેમના ભુજાઓ પર વજ્રનું અને આંગળીઓ પર ચક્રનું ચિહ્ન હોય; અને જેમનું શરીર એટલું પાતળું હોય કે નસ-નાડીઓનું જાળ સ્પષ્ટ દેખાય— એવા પુરુષો યુદ્ધ ઉપસ્થિત થતાં જ મહાવેગે શત્રુસેનામાં ઘૂસી પડે છે અને મત્ત હાથીઓની જેમ શત્રુઓ માટે દુર્જય બની જાય છે।
