जनकस्य युद्धोपदेशः — Janaka’s Instruction on Steadfast Battle-Conduct
त्यागमूलं हि शूराणां स्वर्गद्वारमनुत्तमम् । इत्युक्तास्ते नृपतिना योधा: परपुरंजय
tyāgamūlaṃ hi śūrāṇāṃ svargadvāram anuttamam | ity uktās te nṛpatinā yodhāḥ parapuraṃjayāḥ |
શૂરવીરો માટે સ્વર્ગનું સર્વોત્તમ દ્વાર ત્યાગમાં—આત્મબલિદાનમાં—જ મૂળ ધરાવે છે. રાજાએ એમ કહ્યે પછી, શત્રુનગરો જીતનારા તે યોધાઓએ ઉપદેશ હૃદયમાં ધારણ કર્યો, રણભૂમિમાં પોતાના સ્વામીનો હર્ષ વધાર્યો અને તેના શત્રુઓ પર વિજય મેળવ્યો. તેથી દૃઢમનુષ્યે યુદ્ધના મુખે સદા અડગ રહેવું જોઈએ.
