ऋषिसमागमः — युधिष्ठिरस्य शोकवर्णनम्

प्राप्तान् विषह्ां श्वतुरो न हनिष्यामि ते सुतान् । पज्चैव हि सुता देवि भविष्यन्ति तव ध्रुवा:
prāptān viṣahān śvaturō na haniṣyāmi te sutān | pañcaiva hi sutā devi bhaviṣyanti tava dhruvāḥ ||
યુધિષ્ઠિરે કહ્યું—“તેઓ મારા વશમાં આવી ગયા છે અને હાનિ કરવા સમર્થ પણ છે; છતાં હું તમારા પુત્રોનો વધ નહીં કરું. હે દેવી, તમારા પાંચ પુત્રો નિશ્ચિત થશે—આ ધ્રુવ છે.”
