The Fall of Duryodhana and the Contest of Restraint
(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके २ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल ७२ श्लोक हैं।) अपन क्ाता छा 2 अष्टपञज्चाशत्तमो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनकी बातचीत तथा अर्नके के संकेतके अनुसार भीमसेनका गदासे दुर्योधनकी जाँघें तोड़कर उसे धराशायी करना एवं भीषण उत्पातोंका प्रकट होना संजय उवाच समुद्रीर्ण ततो दृष्ट्वा संग्रामं कुरुमुख्ययो: । अथाब्रवीदर्जुनस्तु वासुदेवं॑ यशस्विनम्
sañjaya uvāca
samudīrṇaṃ tato dṛṣṭvā saṅgrāmaṃ kurumukhyayoḥ |
athābravīd arjunas tu vāsudevaṃ yaśasvinam ||
સંજય બોલ્યો—રાજન્! કુરુકુલના તે બંને મુખ્ય વીરનો સંઘર્ષ ક્રમે ક્રમે વધુ ઉગ્ર બનતો જોઈ, અર્જુને ત્યારે યશસ્વી વાસુદેવ (શ્રીકૃષ્ણ)ને સંબોધીને કહ્યું।
