कोई उनके विषयमें यह निश्चय करने लगे कि “ये ब्रह्माजीके पुत्र, सबके अग्रज एवं ब्रह्मयोनि सनत्कुमार हैं' ।।
ke cin maheśvara-sutaṁ ke cit putraṁ vibhāvasoḥ | umāyāḥ kṛttikānāṁ ca gaṅgāyāś ca vadanty uta ||
કેટલાંકોએ નક્કી કર્યું—‘આ બ્રહ્માજીના પુત્ર, સર્વના અગ્રજ અને બ્રહ્મયોનિ સનત્કુમાર છે.’ તો કોઈએ તેમને મહેશ્વરના પુત્ર, કોઈએ વિભાવસુ (અગ્નિ)ના પુત્ર; કોઈએ ઉમાના, કોઈએ કૃત્તિકાઓના અને કોઈએ ગંગાના પુત્ર તરીકે પણ કહ્યું.
