इस प्रकार महाबली शक्तिशाली वीर कार्तिकेयने समरांगणमें अनेक आततायी देवद्रोहियोंका संहार कर डाला ।।

Transliteration

bāṇo nāmātha daiteyo baleḥ putro mahābalaḥ | krauñca-parvatam āśritya deva-saṅghān abādhata ||

Translation

વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા— બાણ નામનો એક દૈત્ય હતો; તે મહાબલી બલિનો પરાક્રમી પુત્ર. ક્રૌંચ પર્વતનો આશ્રય લઈને તે દેવસમૂહોને સતત પીડા પહોંચાડતો હતો.
