सुभूमिकेति विख्याता सरस्वत्यास्तटे वरे । राजन्! सरस्वतीके सुन्दर तटपर वह उन अप्सराओंकी मंगलमयी क्रीडाभूमि है, इसलिये वह स्थान सुभूमिक नामसे विख्यात है

વૈશમ્પાયન બોલ્યા—હે રાજન! સરસ્વતીના ઉત્તમ તટ પર ‘સુભૂમિકા’ નામે પ્રસિદ્ધ એક સ્થાન છે; તે અપ્સરાઓની પુણ્યમય ક્રીડાભૂમિ હોવાથી જ ‘સુભૂમિકા’ તરીકે વિખ્યાત છે.
