विपण्यापणपण्यानां नानाजनशतैर्व॑त: । नानाद्रुमलतोपेतो नानारत्नविभूषित:,उस पथपर खरीदने-बेचनेकी वस्तुओंका बाजार भी साथ-साथ चलता था, जिसमें नाना प्रकारके सैकड़ों मनुष्य भरे रहते थे। वह हाट भाँति-भाँतिके वृक्षों और लताओंसे सुशोभित तथा अनेकानेक रत्नोंसे विभूषित दिखायी देता था

Transliteration

vipaṇyāpaṇapaṇyānāṃ nānā-janāśatair vṛtaḥ | nānā-druma-latopeto nānā-ratna-vibhūṣitaḥ ||

Translation

વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા— તે માર્ગની સાથે જાણે ખરીદ-વેચાણની વસ્તુઓનો સતત બજાર ચાલતો હતો, જેમાં નાનાં પ્રકારના સૈકડો લોકો ભરેલા હતા. તે હાટ વિવિધ વૃક્ષો-લતાઓથી શોભિત અને અનેક રત્નોથી અલંકૃત દેખાતો હતો.
