स भिवत्त्वा स्तम्भितं तोयं स्कन््धे कृत्वा5ड5यसीं गदाम्
sa bhivattvā stambhitaṃ toyaṃ skandhe kṛtvā ayasīṃ gadām
સંજય બોલ્યા—તેને વંદન કરીને પોતાને સ્થિર કર્યો અને લોખંડની ગદા ખભા પર રાખી સંયત નિશ્ચયથી આગળ વધ્યો. એ ક્ષણે યોદ્ધાનું શિસ્તબદ્ધ સ્વરૂપ પ્રગટ થયું—હિંસાના મધ્યમાં પણ કર્મને વિધિ-સન્માન અને આત્મસંયમનું આવરણ હતું.
