Śalya-hatānantarāṇi: Madrarāja-padānugānāṃ praskandana and the Pandava counter-encirclement (शल्यहतानन्तराणि—मद्रराजपदानुगानां प्रस्कन्दनम्)
त॑ परे नाभ्यवर्तन्त मर्त्या मृत्युमिवागतम्
taṁ pare nābhyavartanta martyā mṛtyum ivāgatam
સંજય બોલ્યો—પ્રતિપક્ષના યોદ્ધાઓ તેની પાસે નજીક આવવાની હિંમત ન કરી શક્યા; જાણે મૃત્યુ જ તેમની સામે આવી ઊભું થયું હોય. યુદ્ધક્રોધમાં એક જ પ્રચંડ યોદ્ધા જ્યારે અનિવાર્ય પરિણામનું સ્વરૂપ બને, ત્યારે અનુભવી પુરુષોની પણ હિંમત ડગમગી જાય છે.
