नाशवनुवंस्तदा युद्धे प्रत्युद्यातुं महारथम् । समरांगणमें उनके बाणोंसे आच्छादित हुए पाण्डवोंके महारथी उस युद्धमें महारथी शल्यकी ओर आगे बढ़नेमें समर्थ न हो सके
nāśakan uvaṁs tadā yuddhe pratyudyātuṁ mahāratham | samarāṅgaṇe śalyasya bāṇair ācchāditāḥ pāṇḍavānāṁ mahārathāḥ tasmin yuddhe mahārathi-śalyaṁ prati agrato gantum na śekuḥ |
સંજય બોલ્યા—ત્યારે તે યુદ્ધમાં શલ્યના બાણોથી ચારેય તરફથી આચ્છાદિત પાંડવોના મહારથીઓ, તે મહારથી શલ્ય સામે આગળ વધીને પ્રતિઉદ્યત થવા સમર્થ ન રહ્યા।
