केचिदूचुर्न तत् क्लुद्धैर्धार्तराष्ट्र: कृतं रणे । यत् कृतं नः प्रसुप्तानां रक्षोभि: क्रूरकर्मभि:
kecid ūcur na tat kluddhair dhārtarāṣṭraiḥ kṛtaṃ raṇe | yat kṛtaṃ naḥ prasuptānāṃ rakṣobhiḥ krūrakarmabhiḥ ||
સંજય બોલ્યા—કેટલાકે કહ્યું—“આ કાર્ય ક્રોધમાં ભરાયેલા ધૃતરાષ્ટ્રપુત્રોએ રણમાં ધર્મયુદ્ધરૂપે કર્યું નથી. અમે સૂતા હતા ત્યારે અમારે પર જે થયું, તે તો ક્રૂરકર્મા રાક્ષસોનું જ કામ છે.”
