अपना बछ। अर: अष्टादशो< ध्याय: महादेवजीके कोपसे देवता
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | tato devayuge 'tīte devā vai samakalpayan | yajñaṃ vedapramāṇena vidhivad yaṣṭum īpsavaḥ ||
વૈશંપાયન બોલ્યા—દેવયુગ વીતી ગયા પછી દેવતાઓએ પરસ્પર નક્કી કર્યું—વેદપ્રમાણ અનુસાર અને વિધિવત્ યજ્ઞ કરવો—એવી ઇચ્છાથી તેમણે યજ્ઞનો સંકલ્પ કર્યો।
