Report of the Night Raid and Yudhiṣṭhira’s Lament
कर्णिनालीकरदंष्टस्य खड्गजिह्डस्य संयुगे । चापव्यात्तस्य रौद्रस्य ज्यातलस्वननादिन:
karṇinālīkaradaṁṣṭasya khaḍgajihvasya saṁyuge | cāpavyāttasya raudrasya jyātalasvananādinaḥ ||
યુદ્ધમાં ક્રોધથી ભરેલો કર્ણ મનુષ્યોમાં સિંહ સમાન ભયંકર હતો. કર્ણિ અને નાલીકા બાણ તેની દાંત, સમરમાં ઉઠેલી ખડ્ગ તેની જિહ્વા; ધનુષ ખેંચવું જાણે તેનું મોં ફાટવું, અને જ્યાની ટંકાર તેની ગર્જના. યુદ્ધમાં કદી પીઠ ન બતાવનાર તે ભયાનક પુરુષસિંહના હાથમાંથી જે જીવતા છૂટ્યા હતા, એ જ મારા સ્વજન આજે અસાવધાનીથી માર્યા ગયા છે।
