Śiśupāla-vadha in the Rājasūya-sabhā (शिशुपालवधः — राजसूयसभायाम्)
नातिचक्राम भीष्मस्य स हि वाक्यमरिंदम: । समुदवृत्तो घनापाये वेलामिव महोदधि:,शत्रुदमन भीम भीष्मजीकी आज्ञाका उल्लंघन उसी प्रकार न कर सके, जैसे वर्षकि अन्तमें उमड़ा हुआ होनेपर भी महासागर अपनी तटभूमिसे आगे नहीं बढ़ता है
nāticakrāma bhīṣmasya sa hi vākyam ariṃdamaḥ | samudavṛtto ghanāpāye velām iva mahodadhiḥ ||
શત્રુદમન ભીમ ભીષ્મની આજ્ઞા વટાવી શક્યો નહીં; જેમ વર્ષાઋતુના અંતે સમુદ્ર ઊછળે તોય મહાસાગર પોતાની કિનારરેખા પાર કરતો નથી।
