Educational Q&A

Power and wealth acquired through state action are to be placed under dharmic authority. Bhīma’s act of handing over the gains to Dharmarāja highlights discipline, accountability, and the principle that conquest is meaningful only when integrated into righteous governance.

After completing his campaign (digvijaya) in the eastern direction, Bhīma returns to Indraprastha and formally delivers the collected wealth/tribute to King Yudhiṣṭhira (Dharmarāja).
